Mood: waiting for wind
17th September 2009
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: NE
Wind Stength: gusty but 20-30mph
Surf / Sea State: lumpy, some waves
Air Temperature: chilly but ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: gusty NE going NNE wind but bright enough
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Got away a bit early with some 'parent duties' between times ... headed to Pevensey, looked gusty cross-off swinging cross shore then offshore. Light on inside so as on the Twin 84 (that or Hawk 123!!) went for 5.3m Ego. Would have been better on something like my old 3S97 and a 4.7m kinda combo ... but ... took a bit of time as ever to get used to left hand drive windsurfing.
Got into it a bit then the gusts got stronger and switchier direction wise.
Not the most fun I've had windsurfing to be honest, but nice to get an evening sail in this time of year still in summer suit.
Loving the twin fin, losing the love for Pevensey when it's gusty and shitty like today ... bizarrely others loved it, perhaps with floatier boards and smaller sails suiting better I'd have enjoyed more.
Fun, but by no means best ever material !!
